October 2026 Events

October is a good month to get curious about wine — and there’s plenty to explore at Curio, with a focus this month on Vintage Virginia and wines of Germany and Austria.

This month there are two Wine School evenings to help you get to know what’s in your glass. Join us for Vintage Virginia on October 14 and Wines of Germany & Austria on October 21, both at 7 p.m. Bring your questions, your curiosity, and a friend…or come solo! We are a friendly bunch and love introducing fellow wine lovers.

A special highlight is our Oktoberfest Wine & Beer Event on October 17. This intimate, walk-around tasting gives you room to explore nine wines and three beers from Germany and Austria, enjoy your own walking charcuterie with alpine-inspired bites, and settle into the courtyard. There’s time to talk about what you’re tasting, learn about German wines and beer, and ask all those questions you’ve been saving. If you joined us for Rosé Fest, you know how much fun an afternoon like this can be.

We also have a special-release Barolo event on October 20. And for those who love a good book as much as a good glass, Read Between the Wines with Novel returns October 28 at 7 p.m. for a special wine and book pairing. This month’s pick is The Merlot Murders, set in the Virginia wine country. It will be so much fun.

Take a look at the calendar and make a little room for something new this month. We’d love to pour you a glass.
