July’s Red Reserve selections explore two of the world’s most celebrated homes for Pinot Noir. Although separated by an ocean, Burgundy and Oregon’s Willamette Valley share a remarkable combination of cool climates, long growing seasons, and an unwavering commitment to producing wines of elegance rather than sheer power.
The 2023 Maison Perron de Mypont Bourgogne Pinot Noir offers a classic introduction to Burgundy, where Pinot Noir has been cultivated for centuries. Bright cherry, raspberry, delicate floral notes, and subtle earthiness are supported by vibrant acidity and silky tannins, creating the graceful balance that has made Burgundy the benchmark against which Pinot Noir is measured.
Alongside it, the 2023 Failla Willamette Valley Pinot Noir showcases how Oregon has emerged as one of the world’s premier Pinot Noir regions. Inspired by Burgundy yet unmistakably its own, it delivers vibrant red fruit, lifted aromatics, forest floor, and remarkable freshness, reflecting the cool climate and volcanic soils that have earned the Willamette Valley international acclaim.
Together, these wines remind us that great Pinot Noir isn’t defined by a single place, but by its extraordinary ability to translate the character of where it is grown. This month’s selections invite you to experience that conversation firsthand. One grape, two legendary regions, and two beautiful expressions of terroir.
Club members can sample all four bottle club selections and pick up their wines at the pick up event on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 or at Curio for the remainder of July.
