July 2026 Passport Club: Domaine de la Renouère Muscadet & Christophe Pacalet Beaujolais-Villages

France has long been the benchmark for fine wine, but some of its greatest treasures are the bottles poured around everyday tables rather than reserved for special occasions. This month’s Passport Club explores two classic regional wines that capture the spirit of French wine culture—fresh, honest, food-friendly, and deeply connected to the places they come from.

The Domaine de la Renouère Muscadet arrives from the western Loire Valley, where cool Atlantic breezes and ancient soils produce wines celebrated for their purity and minerality. Crafted from Melon de Bourgogne, it offers vibrant citrus, crisp orchard fruit, delicate floral aromas, and a refreshing saline finish that makes it one of the world’s great seafood wines.

Alongside it, Christophe Pacalet Beaujolais-Villages showcases the joyful side of Gamay. Sourced from old vines rooted in granite soils just south of Burgundy, it is lively and expressive, bursting with fresh cherry, raspberry, violets, and gentle spice. Silky tannins and bright acidity make it every bit as versatile at the table as its Loire companion.

Together, these wines remind us that some of France’s most rewarding bottles are also among its most approachable. They celebrate freshness over power, balance over excess, and the simple pleasure of sharing good wine with good food.

Club members can sample all four bottle club selections and pick up their wines at the pick up event on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 or at Curio for the remainder of July.
